Hotel Ambos Mundos ***


The Ambos Mundos, famous for being the hotel where the American writer Ernest Hemingway to write one of his novels, enjoys one of the most privileged locations in Old Havana, as it is very close to the main centers of activity city.
The hotel terrace is closed due to maintenance work until November 2013

Located in the lively corner of Obispo and Merchants, the Ambos Mundos is a short walk from the Plaza de Armas and close to other main squares of Old Havana. Opposite the hotel, offer tours Carriage cobblestone streets and historic sights. The famous restaurant-bar La Bodeguita del Medio is located less than three blocks away.

Not all rooms have views of the Ambos Mundos city, but those that do provide this detail boast a view of the cobbled and picturesque stretch of Bishop and Merchant, streets benefiting from its proximity to the Plaza de Armas. From there you can see street performers spend costumed mulatas flower sellers in colonial garb, old fortune tellers, a squad of soldiers in British uniforms eighteenth and carnival stilt groups.
